ROBERT BARRY
Vineyard foreman

Robert grew up in Stellenbosch at Bon Foi, where he started his career. At first he worked in the cellar and from there he moved to the vineyards as a team leader who taught the staff how to care for, and develop, a vine from planting to production.

He moved to Nietvoorbij where he successfully played the same role for the next 13 years. Robert joined us at DeMorgenzon while we were still preparing land for new vineyard plantings, and has been an invaluable part of our team ever since.

Robert has a passion for vines, and an interest in the whole process from budding to bottling. He has wine farming in his blood and sees himself as a role model for others. Consequently he is committed to teaching his team how to produce the very best quality grapes here on DeMorgenzon.
